Launching Plutonal: A Probably Insane Mission to Democratize Financial Intelligence

They called it insane. We call it Plutonal. Here is why we are building an AI-powered financial analysis platform to give everyday investors the same firepower as Wall Street hedge funds—and why we're doing it the hard way.

The Vision: What's This Crazy Idea?

I’ve heard it a hundred times since I started building Plutonal. And honestly? They’re probably right.

Here’s the “insane” idea: Build an AI-powered financial analysis platform that gives retail investors the same market intelligence hedge funds pay millions for—real-time pattern recognition, options flow, dark pool data, cross-market insights across the US and India. The full institutional playbook, but accessible to everyday investors.

Why This Impossible Challenge?

And yes, I get why people think it’s impossible. Hedge funds have unlimited capital, elite talent, decades of data relationships. I’m bootstrapping with limited resources and an offshore team. This isn’t David vs. Goliath. This is David vs. Goliath plus tanks, satellites, and air support.

Why Do It Anyway?

So why do it? Because retail investors deserve more than noise, hype, and talking heads. The information gap in markets is real, and it systematically moves wealth from everyday investors to institutional giants. People deserve real intelligence—tools that actually level the field.

The Name & Our Mission

Plutonal’s name comes from Greek mythology: Plutus, the god who wanted wealth distributed fairly to everyone. Zeus tried to stop him to keep wealth concentrated at the top. He failed. That’s our energy. Democratize financial intelligence, no matter the odds.

Crazy Ideas That Changed Everything

History has a funny relationship with “crazy” ideas. Airbnb, Uber, Robinhood—every one of them was dismissed as impossible. They weren’t. They changed everything.

The Reality Check

Will Plutonal succeed? Statistically? Probably not. The odds are brutal. The competition is entrenched. The technical and regulatory hurdles are enormous.

Will I try anyway? Absolutely. Some battles matter even when you’re likely to lose. And there’s something beautifully defiant about standing in front of Wall Street and saying, “Not today.”

Building in Public

I’m building in public—wins, failures, and everything in between. If you want to follow the journey, find me on Twitter: https://x.com/Plutonal_AI, Instagram: https://lnkd.in/gBCFf6-3 , Threads https://lnkd.in/gKXysPhK , or the blog https://lnkd.in/grzBTAqu .

The Final Word

Maybe it’ll be a spectacular success. Maybe a spectacular failure. Either way, it’ll be one hell of a ride.

Let’s democratize Wall Street or die trying.
